The US Energy Information Administration, released their findings for 2010 that show only 9% of US power consumption was provided by nuclear power. "From the air trajectory study, it appears that at 500 mb (18,000 feet) heights, the number of days required for one complete global cycle is 17, while at 300 mb heights (30,000 feet) the particles move much faster, requiring only 10 days for a complete cycle. If the radioisotopes are to be carried by air currents at these different rates, it is justified to believe that some of the measured ground-level fallout data have to agree with the 500 mb trajectory, while the 300 mb trajectory should fit other measured peaks…Our study suggests that the 300 mb trajectory provides a very good interpretation of the small particle concentration, while the 500 mb trajec-tory seems to agree better with the cyclic be-haviour of larger particles…

Update 4/6/2012 Several other pronounced increases in particle concentrations were measured on January 12, 15, 23, February 1, 19, and 22. All these peaks have a direct correlation with the passage of the 500 mb trough. The dynamic explanation of this process is that to the immediate west of the upper-level trough, we usually find low-level divergence and upper-level convergence with descending motion. It is this descending motion that brings down upper air and thus tends to increase the particle concentration…

You can see that right now (4/6/2012), the larger particles are descending on South Carolina and Virginia. Both the large and small particles are descending on Utah, which is having the highest concentration of radioactive particles now. When there is a new release from Fukushima, the larger particles dominate. They come back to earth faster than the smaller ones. When you have a spike from this level, you know that 17 days later there will be another one, after it has circled the earth.

"Alan Gillis Reports Nine months after the 8.9 earthquake and tsunami, the Japanese Government claims that the 3 damaged nuclear reactors at Fukushima Daiichi are in cold shutdown conditions. Yes, if you add "conditions" which they did. At best with all the jerry-rigging to cool down the melted reactor cores and melted spent fuel pond at Reactor 4, using a mile of rubber hose to patch in new pumps, also add Temporary to cold shutdown conditions and 40 years to dismantle the industrial carnage in the Japanese government's new plan. That is if all goes well and new technologies are developed to safely remove melted cores and rods and dispose of them somehow somewhere.....

Tracking Japan’s Floating Tsunami Debris as it Drifts Towards and Makes Land Fall on the West Coast

There is a worry over the vast amount of floating debris pulled out to sea by the big tsunami that hit Japan last March. Some are concerned a lot of it is radioactive, others fear ruin of pristine beaches on Hawaii and other locations and seamen find it is interfering with shipping lanes.
